Drum roll…today is weigh day and I'm down 1.4 lbs! I’m happy with this, it
looked like I was heading toward a gain earlier in the week. I just got the batteries for my scale tonight
– so this morning I weighed on my Great-grandma’s super old scale. I am going to weigh on my scale tomorrow morning for consistency’s sake.
Today was a fun day! Here are some highlights:
·
We joined Costco and found some great deals on
things that we use frequently and in big quantities. We got a nice size
rotisserie chicken for $4.99, I took the meat off and froze 2 containers and
refrigerated one – that’s a lot of chicken off of one bird! I am thinking I’ll make tostadas for the
family this weekend and maybe this buffalo chicken casserole they love too! I saw this giant
bottle of vino – too big even for me!
·
Found these running gloves at Costco today, very
affordable. They have the finger
tip censor so that I can easily use my iPod.
Needed these gloves – got wind burn on my hands during yesterday's run.
·
I got gas for $2.23 today! I used .60 cents on my Kroger Plus card!
·
I went to my kiddo's Christmas program, my middle boy. He sang 3 songs and was
so cute.
·
Today is a rest day, thank goodness, because it is 1
degree out!
·
Went to my department Christmas party. It was at a restaurant and so I was worried about staying on plan. I ordered a chicken wrapper
(only ate ½) and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. I am happy that I was able to stay on plan all week. Not that there weren't plenty of temptations. For example, there were donuts and bagels in our break room this morning and I
avoided that room - they were gone by the time I went in to refill my water bottle.
I am pretty exhausted tonight – I’ve run 10 miles in 7 days
so I think that may be part of it; also it was just a very busy week at work
and with the kids.
That's all for me tonight, going to watch a movie with the hubby!
